(Adopted July 2011 - March 2018)
The oldest and first to join our family, where it all started, the reason I found my love for cats. He is a Persian cat breed, and his name is, quite literally, cat. (translated to Japanese)
Persian cats are considered to be a more relaxed breed, which also shows in Neko's behavior. Having little interest in adventure, Neko spends most days napping and eating. It should also be noted that Neko has a flat nose, which is considered detrimental to a cat's health in numerous ways.
Not very cat-like, Neko has no interest in any food besides the same cat food he is served every day.
At the end of March 2018, Neko was put to sleep after it was determined by the vet that he had been suffering from kidney stones.
Neko is perhaps the kindest, compassionate cat I have known. He loves humans and cats alike, and has an affinity for nurturing. Having been introduced to three other cats in total, he has shown nothing but care towards them. Those cats being:
Interestingly, upon introduction of a new cat family-member Neko became less playful, as if to take on new responsibilities as the older family-member. (This appears to be a re-occurring pattern in other cats as well)
Below are Neko's estimated abilities:
| Ability | Grade | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| STR | B | power through sheer weight and blubber |
| AGI | D | limited movement |
| DEX | C | average |
| INT | B | cat family nurturer |
| VIT | D | health issues |
